Dear OGS members:

I have over 50 old photos that were in my grandfather’s old trunk. Some of them have names on them and some of them are tintypes that are completely unidentified. Most all of the photos that are in a cardboard frame with the photo studio marked were taken in Henry County or surrounding area.

These photos have been scanned and I have them in an 8 X 10 notebook. I was wondering if I send them to someone there that they may be one of your members family lines, and or someone there would be able to identify any of them.

If any of these would be in someone’s family line and they not have that photo, I could arrange to get it to you. If it is in both our lines I could send them a scanned file on a disk. I am sure to the right person these photos would be priceless.

I have no interest in selling any of them but will give any to anyone that has any one of them in their family tree. Please advise me someone that I could send these to that would be able to have your members see them.

I have been searching for information on my Great grandmother Ann Sims b-July 24 1841, was living with the Warwick family in Marion township in Henry county before being married to my great grandfather David Henry Hashberger. To this union was born one child, my grandfather Samuel “Oscar” Hashbarger on November 19, 1865, in Marion Twp, Henry Co Ohio. Ann passed away shortly after on December 14, 1865. I have old letters from her sister Jane Sims and her sister’s husband John Crist, then living in Leipsic, Ohio. Any one being able to furnish any more information would be appreciated.

Very Sincerely
Lee Hashbarger
