A tenant had a garden fair
And in it bloomed a flower rare.
They watched its opening growth with pleasure,
To them it was a valued treasure.

At, morn', at noon, at shade of night,
It was the source of their delight.
A message from the Gardener came,
To pluck this flower from its stem.

And plant it on the Golden Shore ,
To bloom in beauty ever more
Then may your tears cease to flow
Soon you may to this garden go.
