Edwin Wood Memorial Library

The Edwin Wood Memorial Library, 208 North East Ave., Deshler, Ohio, is the official library of the Henry County Genealogical Society. It contains county histories for selected counties in Ohio, family histories submitted by members and non-members of the Society, numerous publications of interest to family historians, and compact disks (CD) that may be used on library computers. Wood Memorial Library also houses a collection of microfilms of value to researchers, and library staff can order microfilms on short-term loan from other organizations.

Napoleon Public Library

The Henry County Genealogical Society’s official repository for genealogical materials is the Wood Memorial Library in Deshler. However, the Napoleon Public Library has extensive genealogical holdings in its Ohio History section, including all the material that has been published by the HCGS. The links to the left will help you research materials that are available to you in each of these excellent libraries. As our Internet site grows, we will be adding information on other libraries in the county.
