Obituary: After weeks of intense suffering, the spirit of Silas Wright took its flight early Monday morning last. Mr. Wright had been a soldier during the rebellion, and in the service contracted disease which left him almost totally blind and deaf, in which condition he has been for years. He was a member of the G. A. R., his funeral being conducted under the auspices of Choate Post of this city, The funeral took place from the family residence on Clinton street, yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. M. L. Donahey officiating. The deceased leaves a family consisting of a wife and two children, who have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement. |
