Obituary:

SUICIDE -- A man whose name is supposed to have been CHARLES WILLEY, was found in an insensible condition in an old log house belonging to Mr. LEM. MANN, south of the river, on Sunday morning last, about ten o'clock. The following note was found on his person:
Dec. 15, 1871
This is to certify that I am tired of living, for everyone tries to cheat me; so fare ye well. I am rich, but away from home, without money. So put me under the ground and ask no questions.
He was brought to town and properly cared for, but died within an hour. He had taken opium.
