Death of D. F. Welsted. Mr. D. F. Welsted, one of the old pioneers of this county, died at his residence in Napoleon on last Saturday evening, after an illness of short duration. Mr. Welsted moved to Henry county in 1838, and at once took an active part in the interests of the county. He at one time held the office of County Commissioner, and also filled with credit other positions in the gift of the people of the county. He was an unflinching Democrat, and although of late years taking no active part in politics, he was a aways interested in party matters and public questions. His funeral took place on Monday afternoon when a large concourse of friends and neighbors paid their last respects to his earthly career. At his death he was in his 70th year. The stricken family have the sympathies of the community.
