Obituary: WARD. On the 7th day of May, 1889, in Harrison township, Henry county, Ohio, Barbara A., wife of Marvin Ward, aged about 50 years. For a number of months she was the subject of a severe affliction, demanding the constant attention of her companion, who dismissed his other interests and gave his whole attention to her comfort. Her mind would sink into despondency until life became a burden to her, and se would plead to be released from a life that no longer was hopeful. Yet, with unwearied care he watched over her day and night, until the spirit fled to the home of eternal happiness, there to await the coming of loved ones of earth. For many years she was the possessor of the rich comforts which religion yields. She leaves a faithful husband, an aged mother, one brother and two sisters and an unusually large number of relatives to mourn their loss, which is doubtless her eternal gain. Services were held at Sharon church conducted by Rev. J. W. Myers. A very large number followed to the cemetery and witnessed the remains of one so dearly loved placed in the silent tomb, to await the bright resurrection. J. M. |
