SAD ACCIDENT AT HOLGATEJoseph Vogel aged about 57, an old Henry county pioneer, and proprietor of the under taking establishment at Holgate, was horribly mangled and instantly killed by a freight train in that tow n about 9 o'clock yesterday morning. Mr. Vogel had been to the depot to telegraph to Defiance for a coffin for a young man in the country who had died the day before, and was crossing the track on his way to his place of business when he was struck by a backing freight train as noted above, : Deceased was. a man highly respected, and his sad death casts a gloom over our neighboring town.
