Gone to His Rest. Our readers will remember that some weeks ago Mr. Bernard Vocke, accompanied by his wife, left for the South and the Hot Springs of Arkansas for the good of his health. He had been there but a short time when his friends at home were made glad by receiving word that he was improving fast and that he hoped soon to completely regain his health. But a relapse set in and his brother Herman was called to his bedside last week by telegraph. He left on Tuesday with the intention of bringing his brother home if possible, and arrived in Napoleon Monday morning with "Barney," as he was familiarly called, but they had been home but a few short hours when be drew his last breath -- another victim to that dreaded disease, consumption. Mr. Vocke was in the 87th year his age, a man beloved by all, his loss a serious one to his brothers with whom he was in business relations. His funeral took place yesterday morning from St. Augustine's Church, attended by a large number of sorrowing friends and acquaintances. Peace to his ashes.
