Christian Veigle, an old and highly respected citizen of this county, died at the home of? his daughter, Mrs. W. Groll, in Toledo, on Tuesday last, at the advanced age of 68 years, 6 months, and 24 days His remains were brought here last evening for burial, the funeral services will be held at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. George Krouse, this? morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. W. L. Fischer officiating Mr. Veigle went to Toledo only a few days ago on a visit, and while there was taken ill. His daughters, Mrs. B. B. Shasteen and Mrs. Geo. Krouse were summoned to his bedside last Friday, and remained with him until Saturday, at which time he seemingly appeared to be improving and they returned home, but later a relapse caused him to grow rapidly worse until he closed his eyes in that long sleep whence awakening cometh not until resurrection day. He leaves a devoted wife, three daughters, three sons and a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. May he rest in peace.
