VANPELT. In south Napoleon, April 20th, 1881, Jennie, wife of Frank Vanpelt, aged 22 years, 8 months, 5 days. Her funeral took place on Friday, 22d, at the brick church, in Harrison township, and was largely attended; services conducted by Rev. J. W. Myers, of Damascus township. Mrs. Vanpelt was the last of a family consisting of father, mother and seven children; may we not hope that they constitute an unbroken family in the kingdom of heaven. This dear woman suffered long and severely, yet patiently and meekly; she leaves a kind husband, an infant son and many friends to mourn her early death. She lived in our midst but one short year, yet in that time we learned to love her as a neighbor, friend, a lady and a christian. Her early death reminds us that the early leaves do sometimes fall in the sweet spring-time of life.
