Obituary. Van Wagner - Hugh Van Wagner, killed by the cars at Deshler, Ohio, Dec. 12th, 1884, was born March 30th, 1842, near Freemont, Sandusky county, Ohio. At the age of 18 he united with the United Brethren church, of which he was a consistent member until the time of his death. When our country became involved in civil war he was one of the first to enlist in his country's cause. He was a member ot Company F., 55th Regiment O. V. I. He did not return until 1863, and then only for thirty days. At the close of the war he returned with an honorable discharge. No nobler man than he went south to do battle for our country. He leaves a wile and two small children, a father, mother, brother and sisters to mourn with broken hearts. The afflicted family extend their thanks to the many friends who so kindly assisted in their sad bereavement. E. C. W.
