Sad Accident

We have been informed that a young man living with Mr. Ellis Miller, in Pleasant township, whose name we were unable to learn, went out on the river on Saturday afternoon to skate, no one being with him. Not returning home in the evening, a search was made for him, when a place was discovered on the ice where it had been broken, but it being late in the evening, no further search was made. On Monday the body was found under the ice, a considerable distance from where it had entered. It is supposed that while skating, he ran into a thin place in the ice, and there being no other persons by to assist him out, was drowned. -- Tiffin Advertiser
