Died: At his home in Defiance Co., Sunday morning, Dec. 27, Charles Tubbs. Mr. Tubbs was one of the old settlers of this county. Coming here when the country was but a wilderness, he set to work and cleared up a nice farm, and during his time he has done much for the comfort and happiness of neighbors and friends as he was always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need. Although 83 years of age, he has always seemed healthy and strong and not confined to his bed until a year ago and then only for a few months at a time. A wife, two sons and a daughter are left to mourn his death.
