Obituary: TITUSOn the 22nd of May, 1888, of heart disease, Rueben W. Titus, of McClure, Henry county, O., aged 44 years. The deceased was a soldier of the 65th Ohio, and was said to have been faithful and brave in the discharge of duty; his health had been much affected for some years with something like asthma, suffering very much the past six months. He went to Tennessee expecting to restore health by change of climate, a few years ago, but returned with only increased debility. With his family he occupied rooms with Mr. J. Randolph and family of McClure some six months of his illness here he received the kindest care from Mr. Randolph and wife, who were untiring in their labors of love for their afflicted friend. He was member of the G. A. R. Post, of Harrison township, who were largely assisted by McClure Post, who also were well represented on funeral occasion; such a gathering has seldom convened in McClure were gathered at Salem Church where religious services were held by Rev. J. W. Myers, after which the military procession was formed, composed of Harrison township and McClure Posts, who marched in good order, yet in sadness, to Damascus Cemetery, followed by a large procession to witness the funeral rites of the departed soldier.
