SWORDEN. Geo. R. Sworden was born in Marion county, April 22d, 1836; died February 15th, 1887, aged 50 years, 9 months and 28 days. Mr. Sworden was the father of ten children, two of whom are dead. He leaves a wife and eight children, two grand-children, a brother and two sisters and many friends to mourn his departure. To the memory of our father:

Our father dear, who was so near,
Has parted from us and gone;
It grieves our heart, 'tis hard to part
With one that was so kind.

The funeral services were preached by Rev. G. W. Miller at the Freedom Church, before a large congregation.
