Death of the Wife of Samuel Stevens
After suffering for a short time from the effects of paralysis, the wife of Mr. Samuel Stevens was called to her reward on Saturday last. Mrs. Stevens was a Christian woman, being a member of the Presbyterian church of Napoleon.
Melissa Adeline Stevens, born in Port Bervel, Canada, Nov. 23, 1852, died in Napoleon Nov. 15, 1913, aged 61 years, 11 months and 22 days. She was married to Samuel Stevens June 19, 1873, and to this union were born four children, 3 boys and 1 girl, the daughter preceding her to the spirit world. She leaves to mourn, her husband, 3 sons, 3 sisters, 3 brothers and many relatives and friends.
The funeral took place on Monday, Rev. W. R. Shisler officiating.
