Obituary: SPENCER - On Oct. 23, 1886, Hattie, daughter of George and Emma Spencer, aged 15 years, 3 months, and 6 days. Funeral services were held in Richfield church on Sabbath morning by Rev. J. W. Myers, in the presence of a large concourse of friends who with sad hearts followed the remains to the silent tomb where her remains were laid to await the final call on the resurrection morning. She leaves her father, mother, three sisters and to brothers to mourn her loss. A down the stream of life she sped, Resolution of respect Whereas, It has pleased Almighty God to take from our midst our beloved sister, Hattie Spencer, therefore, be it Resolved, that we fitly sympathize with the relatives and many friends who mourn her loss, that we tender our sincerest thanks to the many friends that sided in caring for her in affliction and death, and willingly submit to our heavenly father's will, knowing he does all things well, and we unanimously urge the friends of the departed to continue in the path of duty and meet Hattie in heaven for parting will be no more. West hope, October 25, 1886. Observer. |
