Obituary:

SOLIDAY Hannah, wife of S. P. Soliday, of McClure, Ohio, departed this life November 30, 1891, aged 39 years, 8 months and 21 days

During the summer she had an operation for cancer. She endured the operation bravely and the after affliction patiently. While her friends hoped for the better they were only compelled to prepare for the inevitable. About 6 weeks before her demise, death took from her a babe four weeks old. From that time on she gave up all hope of ever getting well, She endured her painful and distressing affliction with Christian fortitude, and when her friends would speak to her in sympathy because of her sad condition, she would meekly reply that her affliction would not last longIn 1877 she embraced the Christian religion and connected herself with the church of Christ of the Christian Union, in which she lived an earnest and faithful member until death. She leaves an affectionate husband, two girls and two boys and many relatives and friends to mourn her loss, but their loss is her gain. Funeral services were held at the Damascus Church December 3rd, conducted by Rev, G. W. Foltz to a very large and sympathizing congregation of relatives and friends, after which her remains were taken to the McClure cemetery and reverently laid away to await the resurrection morn.

She bore her sickness with patience,
Which none but a Christian can do;
She was loving and gentle
Always so kind and true.

G. W. F.
