SMITH. In Richfield township, May 5th, 1887, at the residence of John Smith, Mrs. John Smith, aged 72 years, 4 months and 6 days. She leaves two sons, two daughters and nine grandchildren to mourn her loss. She was a member of the Evangelical Church and lived a true Christian. Her remains were taken to Beaver Creek Cemetery for interment. May all strive to meet our loved one gone before.

Dearest mother, thou hast left us and thy loss we deeply feel,
But tis God that has bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal.
