Smith, Mrs. Anna Elizabeth, wife of Michael Smith, died of typhoid fever, at their residence, four miles south of Napoleon, Friday, Oct. 15, 1880. She was born in Feb. 1820 in Germany, making her 60 years old. She was married 40 years ago to her sorrowing husband. She was a faithful wife and mother, her children raised up to call her blessed and most deeply feel their great loss. But their loss was shared by many at the funeral, which was attended by many concourse of people, who showed her the greatest respect. She enjoyed her friends and family. The funeral took place on Sunday, Evangelical church, Harrison Township. "Peace to Her Babes."
