Obituary: After an illness of but a few days duration, Mrs. Dr. Hulda H. Sheffield passed from this life into the great hereafter at about 10 o'olock on last Saturday morning. The Dr. first complained of not feeling well on the Saturday previous to her death, but was up and around attending to her professional calls. She continued to get worse and called in Dr. Hunter, and on Friday Dr. Lungren, of Toledo, was summoned in consultation with Dr. Hunter, when the case was pronounced peritonitis of the worst kind, with no hope of the patient's recovery. She lingered until Saturday morning when death relieved her from all earthly suffering, although all was done for her that loving hearts and hands could do. Mrs. Sheffield was an old citizen of this county, and had quite an extensive homeopathic practice in and around Napoleon. She was the widow of the late Wm. Sheffield, and leaves one child, the wife of Col. J. D. Norton, now of Kansas. At the time of her death she was in the 67th year of her age. Her funeral took place from her residence on Tuesday morning, the services being conducted by Rev. Philip B. Cabell, of Cleveland, a New Church minister. The remains were followed to their last resting place by many relatives and friends. |
