Through the deplorable death of Mr. Sheffield the Vocke Bros. became somewhat embarrassed, and for a time the Sheriff had possession of the business, but it was only temporary, as the Vockes are again open for business and the prospects are that matters will be satisfactorily arranged all around. We hope the firm may tide over whatever embarrassment threatens them, as an entire suppression of their large business transactions would be a public calamity from the effects of which it would take years for Napoleon to recover.
