Peter Shasteen, Co. D, 14th Ohio Regiment, son of Mr. James Shasteen of this township died in hospital at Nashville, Tennessee on the 28th alt from a wound received at the late battle of Chickamauga. He is highly spoken of by his officers as a brave and efficient soldier.
