SCHLENTZ. On June 20, 1887, in Pleasant township, Henry county, Ohio, Mary J. Schlentz, daughter of L. and M. Schlentz, aged 21 years, 8 months and 10 days. After a brief illness of but a few weeks, though young and dearly beloved by the companions of her youth, she was willing and ready to depart, with her kind, cheerful and pleasant manners won the esteem and gained the approbation of those with whom she associated, gathering about her a large circle of friends in whose memories she lives, though the grave has hid her from mortal view. A large funeral gathering witnessed the service of the hour and looked for the last time on earth on the form of one who now sleeps sweetly in the M. E. Church cemetery, awaiting the resurrection morn to be again united with loved ones on the evergreen shore.

Sleep sweetly In the silent tomb,
For soon the hour will come
When we will meet In that bright home,
With those before us gone.

How sweet to think that on our eyes,
A lovelier chime shall yet arise,
That we shall 'wake from sorrows dream,
Beside a pure and living stream.
