Ridgeville Items. It is with a good degree of sorrow that we are called upon to chronicle the sudden death of little Charley, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Rollin, from congestive chills. On Tuesday last be was at school hale and hearty, and on Wednesday at 6 o'clock death claimed its victim, and he passed away at the age of 5 years, 8 months and 8 days. The blow is a severe one, the whole community being shocked by the sad calamity. The whole neighborhood sympathize deeply with the bereaved parents.

Death came into their home of love
And nipped as sweet a flower,
As ever parents garland graced
Or bloomed in love's bright bower.

Now like a dew drop fully shrined
Within it crystal stone.
Charley's safe within the arms
Of the Everlasting One.

And when they leave this world of sin
Their loved one there's enrolled,
May Heaven, to let the parents in,
Its pearly gates unfold.
