Obituary - Died - At his residence on his farm, near Napoleon, O., on the 29th day of April, '74, JOSEPH RITTER, in the 90th year of his age.
The death of Mr. RITTER deserves more than a mere formal notice. He was one of the early pioneers of Henry county, having first settled here when even the immediate Valley of the Maumee was a dense wilderness. He lived to se it converted into a garden, and enjoyed the satisfaction of knowing that he himself had contributed much toward its change.
Mr. R. was born in Pickaway county in this State, and removed directly from the place of his birth to the place of his death. He was universally respected and was frequently the recipient of the confidence of his fellow citizens, who now all join in regretting his death.
