Janet Rieke, 84, formerly of Hamler, died Oct. 11 in Seattle, Wash.

Born Dec. 21, 1917. in Hamler, she was the daughter of Dr. Ray and Forence Marie (Fisher) Davis. She married Robert Rieke, who preceded her in death in 1995.

She graduated with a degree in music from the University of Michigan, after which she moved to the West Coast. She is survived by a son, Christopher Lane of Seattle; two daughters. Alison Hall of Ft. Thomas, Ky., and Lauren Rieke of Marysville, Wash.; and one grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Louis Davis.

A graveside memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28 at MarionTownship Cemetery, Hamler.
