Obituary:

SAD AFFLICTION. It is with feelings of deep regret that we announce the death of Earl, the young son of C. E. Reynolds, Esq., which sad event took place Monday afternoon, of typhoid pneumonia. One week ago last Sabbath, the 12th anniversary of Earl's birthday, he was taken to his bed, and from that time until his death was irrational. Earl was a bright and active little fellow, above the average of the youth of his age, and was much beloved by his associates and those who knew him. His death cast a sad gloom over the whole community, and especially over his young play follows, among whom he was one of the most active but a low short days ago. His funeral took place yesterday afternoon, the remains being followed to their last resting place by a large number of relatives and friends. The sorrowing parents have the heartfelt sympathies of the community in their affliction.

In column 2:
The flag at the Union School House was placed at half mast yesterday, on account ot the death ot Earl Reynolds.
