REED - Of consumption, September 30th, 1890, Alma, wife of Peter Reed, aged 28 years. Alma leaves a family of three small children, two boys aged 3 and 6 years and a daughter aged nine months, who is in delicate health and who will likely soon be with her mother. Patiently and earnestly did she plead for health and life that she might care for little May, but when she got so near death's door she saw she could not live, she could say all is well for I am so happy in Jesus. After shaking hands and bidding her relatives good-bye, telling them how nice it was to be forgiven and to forgive, she folded her hands across her breast and fell asleep in Jesus to await the coming of little Eddie who says he did not want his good ma to die.
