Obituary:

Rasey. On the 17 of May, 1884, at her daughter's home in Napoleon, O., Mrs. F. Rasey, aged 64 years, 4 months and 6 days. After a brief illness of about one week. Early in the morn of life she cast her lot with the people of God, and for a number of years she was a worthy member of the M. E. Church. Some 20 years ago she became a member of the United Brethren Church in which she lived a consistent and faithful member until called from toil and labor to a home in Heaven. Some three years ago the companion of her youth was called from her embrace and she was let to labor on in the vineyard of the Master, she was an active worker in the Sabbath School, and many will remember her christian counsel. She was the mother of ten children, seven of whom still live, one son a minister of the gospel, and while they mourn the loss of a tender and kind christian mother, they are made to feel that their loss is her eternal gain. One of the largest funeral gatherings convened in Brick Church, Harrison twp., and witnessed the service of the day and followed to the silent grave where with sad hearts she was deposited to await the first resurrection. Rev. J. W. Myers. McClure, O., May 20, 1884.
