PIERCE. On March 26, 1882, at the residence of Josiah Koller, Napoleon, O.,Mrs. Phoebe Pierce, aged 71 years. She was born in Cayuga county, N. Y,and was the aunt of Mrs. C. F. Beard, of Tiffin, O., and of Mrs. Josiah Koller, Napoleon, O. During "Auntie" Pierce's visit in the west she made many warm friends. Her nieces were untiring in their labors of love for her comfort in her last illness. "Oh! there at last, life's trials past, We'll meet our loved once more,Whose feet have trod the path to God-- Not lost, but gone before." Mr. Koller took her body to Homer, N. Y., for burial.
