Philpott. In Damascus Twp., Henry Co., O., July 10th, 1889, after an illness of some months, Jane, wife of George Philpott, aged about 67 years.

She was for many years a member of the M. E. Church, and faithful in her attendance in the Sabbath school and all the means of grace, and although of feeble health for the past year, her pew was not vacant when she could attend. It was the privilege of the writer to serve as teacher in her class on her last attendance at Sunday School; we will remember as we listened to her voice, rendered weak by affliction but her mind filled with rich thought upon the lesson, soon placed her teacher as a scholar listening with deepest interest. A large audience assembled at Bethel church July 14th, and listened to funeral service by Rev. St Clair.
