Jennie dear, how much we miss thee,
We shall see thy face no more,
But we know that thou art safely
Landed on the other shore.

Short has been thy stay among us,
Till the Lord an angel sent
To convey thy spirit from me,
Oh, with grief our hearts are sent.

But thy days on earth are ended,
And thy Sufferings here are o'er;
The great Jehovah welcomed thee
Where pain and sickness is no more.

Dear Jennie, we must say farewell,
Although it gives us inward pain
We trust the Lord for grace to say
Farewell till we shall meet again
