Dear Maudie, we bid you adieu,
Though grief our hearts do swell,
And life seems lonely without you,
Dear Maudie, now farewell.

On memories' page you'll fill a place,
While here on earth we dwell;
Tho' we no more behold your face,
Dear Maudie, now farewell.

In deepest grief we'll journey on,
Our sorrow who can tell --
But when we gain that happy home,
No more we'll say farewell.
