Obituary: NAYLOR Dianna Naylor was born in Cayuga county, N. Y., May 5th, 1802, and died February 6, 1891: she was therefore eighty-eight years, ten months and one day old. She died at the home of her daughter Mrs. A. Bretz, in Bowling Green, Wood county, Ohio. Her husband precedes her, he having passed away July 26, 1889. She was married to Charles Naylor in 1822, which union proved to be a happy one. Together they lived to celebrate their golden wedding, nearly twenty years ago. They were blessed with five children, one having proceeded them. They lived to see five generation, and were in the full possession of their faculties when overtaken by the angel of death. Too much praise cannot be given to this worthy pair whose lives ran parallel for more than sixty-six years, each dying without a day's sickness and both died in the arm of their granddaughter Madie Myers, the stay of their declining years. Mother Naylor, as she familiarly known, was a member of the Baptist church for twelve years, when she withdrew from that denomination and together with her husband they united with the Methodist, and continued in that faith the remainder of their days. |
