Deshler Man Passes Away

Funeral services for Horace E. Monthaven, 38, state highway employee and Democratic Executive and Central Committeeman, were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Dubbs funeral home in Deshler.

Mr. Monthaven, injured one week ago Saturday evening when he was struck by the automobile driven by Boyd Shively, West Hope, succumbed in Heller Memorial hospital Saturday evening last at 7:15 o'clock of complications resulting from concussion of the brain. He never fully regained consciousness during the elapsed week between his injury and death.

Surviving, besides the wife are three children.
