Colton, Nov. 7 (Special)

Lottie Mohler the daughter of S. W. Mohler met a most horrible death last week. She was roasting potatoes on a small box stove, her elder sister being in the next room, who was startled by fearful cries and rushing to the door beheld the little one enveloped in a sheet of flame. She acted promptly and bravely, extinguishing the flames but too late to save the young life as, sufficient fire was inhaled to cause death which took place after 20 hours of ineffable agony. There has been no accident for years in Harrrison tp. that has caused the grief that has this, and one and all join in condolence with the sorrowing family. The funeral was held Saturday.

Dearest Lottie, thou hast left us;
Here thy loss we deeply feel;
But t'was God that has bereft us
He can all our sorrows heal.
