Sad Death

S. G. McCord, of Angola, Ind., was in the city Tuesday. Mr. McCord formerly lived in this county, at Ridgeville. While here he told us the sad story of the illness and death of his estimable wife, which occurred along the first days of the present month. Their little child took dangerously sick, the mother giving it almost her undivided attention. But when it was out of danger, it was found that the strain had been too great for the mother and she was taken ill with typhoid fever, from which she died after weeks of suffering, leaving a stricken father and child. Mr. McCord has the heartfelt sympaties of hosts of friends in this county, his old home.
