Obituary: Liberty News The remains of Mrs. Chas. L. Martin, and known as daughter of Mr. John Neff, of this neighborhood for many years, (now deceased), was brought here for interment from Toledo, where she died of consumption a few days since. A large attendance at the funeral gave the true expression of the high esteem in which she was held by the old neighbors of her girlhood The funeral services were held in the M. E. Church here, conducted by the pastor, Rev. E. S. Dunham. The last rites were pronounced at the tomb about five miles away, in the immediate vicinity of her youth, where she was preceded by two children, father and one brother, leaving only a lonely mother of her father's family to mourn her departure. The deceased departed this life, buoyed up by the precious promises to the faithful who held out to the end, and her life has ever been consistent with that profession as daughter, wife, and mother, as far as the knowledge of your correspondent extends. She leaves two children, a boy and a girl, who will be provided for by father and friends. |
