Obituary:

The Bryan Press says:
It becomes our painful duty to record the death of the Rev. R. B. Marshall, who, for some time last spring supplied the pulpit of the Presbyterian Church, in this place. His death occurred at his home in Hopkinton, Iowa, on the 20th of last month. He died as he lived, full of faith and trust in the gospel of Christ. A letter from his sister says that he was fully conscious of his approaching end, and felt perfectly resigned. Among his last words was that memorable saying of Paul, "to live is Christ, but to die is gain," and when the death dew began to settle upon his brow, full of hope and resignation, he whispered, "the Master's will be done. He is coming to take me home."
The ministry of Mr. Marshall in this place was short, yet during that time he made many friends, whose hearts are greatly saddened at the news of his death.
