MARGRAT. On the 9th of March 1881, Elmer E. Margrat, of Harrison township, Henry county, O., aged 18 years, 7 mouths and 15 days. He died from the effect of poison, taken accidentally eating of a root, supposed to be spikenard; but which proved to be wild anise, or something of that class. He died within 6 hours of eating the root. He was a fine young man, of quiet habits, inoffensive in his manner, loved and respected by all who knew him.John W. Meyers, Texas, March 13, 1881.
