Obituary:

Love. Mary Z. Love, daughter of Abraham and Maria Nixon, was born in Westmoreland County, Pa., Nov. 3rd, 1837 and died August 29, 1889, of typhoid fever, aged 51 years. 9 months and 26 days.

The departed is a sister of Mrs. Joseph Weible, of Florida, Ohio. About the 17th year of her age she was united in marriage to Abraham O. Love, and was permitted to enjoy the society of her husband in the married relation for abont 34 years. To these parent were born ten children, six daughters and four sons, all of whom are living to mourn the loss of a kind mother.

Many years ago she accepted Christ as her Saviour and the M. E. Church as her home. She gave full proof of her devotion to God and the church; after having done all she could she quietly and triumphantly fell asleep in the Lord, leaving us the memory of her quiet Christian life as a blessed legacy, full of power and truth. May the sorrowing ones she leaves behind find comfort in the prospect of meeting again. Her funeral took place at the Mount Lebanon Church, Rev. Jones officiating from the scripture found in Psalms, 39th chapter and 4th verse: "Lord make me to know mine end and the measure of my days, what it is that I may know how frail I am." The hymn sung on the funeral occasion was:

"Jesus, Lover of my Soul,
Let me to Thy Bosom fly."

After services her remains were borne away and laid to rest in hope of a glorious resurrection, and may He who has promised never to forsake the motherless children in their sad affliction, and bind up their broken hearts and sustain them in the dark hour of trial, and help them to bow in submission to his will, that they may receive daily such grace aa will enable them to live with the assurance that husband, children and relatives may all meet again beyond the river in the sweet by and by.

In the casket never moving
Lies our mother's form.
She has crossed the deep dark river
She is sleeping her last sleep.

She at rest, her sufferings over
No more pains for her to bear.
Why mourn we then, we who love her
If she is in heaven -- no sorrow there.

She has left us --
Yes left us all alone.
'Twas the Saviour who called her --
Called her to quit this earthly home.

Let us live that we may meet her
When our time has come to go,
Up in Heaven, dearer, sweeter,
Than we knew her here below. J.W.

We are so thankful to our neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted us during the illness of my wife. Our hearts are enshrouded in sadness, but the great kindness and tender sympathy shown us by all who knew of our loss and sorrow is a bright star in this midnight of gloom. We thank you from our hearts.

A. O. Love and Children.
