Levi Leist died at his home in Liberty township on the morning of the 7th of December, of typhoid fever, after an illness of four weeks.

Mr. Leist was born in Pickaway county, Ohio, on the 23 day of November, 1828, making him eged as the time of his death 70 years, 1 month and 5 days. He moved to this county in the year 1848, and in 1849 settled on the farm upon which he died. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn their loss, two children having preceded hima to the grave. The funeral occurred on Sabbath last, from the Hebron Church, in Liberty township, Rev. Foltz conducting the services. The attendance was large, the number present attesting the high regard in which the deceased was held by neighbors and those acquainted with him.
