Takes away a Former Napoleon Girl at Omaha, Neb.

John H. Frease received a telegram Friday from Omaha, Neb., that his sister, Mrs. L. Ley, had died at that place. Saturday evening the husband and one child arrived in Napoleon with the remains which were taken to the residence of Mr, Winn Frease, another brother. Funeral ceremonies were held at the home of the father, B. F. Frease near Okolona, Monday afternoon, by Rev. Donahey, and interment took place as the Brey cemetery.

Mrs. Ley wasa former resident of Napoleon township, her maiden name being Samantha Frease, daughter of B, F. Frease. She was born on her father's farm near Okolona July 11, 1845, and was married in Hutchinson, Kan., where they lived until 1880 when removed to Omaha, Neb. For the last three years she has been ill and the malady that caused her death was that of heart trouble.

Many friends from Napoleon attended the funeral, deceased having been well known here.
