Child Burned to Death.

A terrible accident happened at the residence of John Kruse, Jr., in Ridgeville township, on Tuesday of last week. Two of his children, a little girl 5 years and a boy 2 years old, were in the kitchen playing making fire, when the girls dress caught fire. She ran out in the yard, and in the efforts of the grandmother, who was near, to smother the flames had her hands burnt terribly, and before the fire was extinguished the lower clothing was all burned off the child, and it was burned so badly that it died the next day. The funeral took place on Friday. Parents cannot be too careful how they allow their children to play with fire. It is dangerous play, and children should be taught to look upon it as such.
