Obituary:

Mrs. Elizabeth Knipp, wife of Peter Knipp living in Flatrock township, died Wednesday, March 22, 1893 after but a few days illness from a complication of diseases. The funeral ceremony was held at the German Lutheran church on the Kalida Pike near Holgate, with Rev. W. L. Fisher, of Napoleon, in charge, Saturday, March 25, 1893, and the remains interred in the Knipp graveyard. The deceased was one of the most estimable christian ladies of Flatrock township and had arrived at that time of her existence when children were grown and life for her was one of ease. In fact, the husband was negotiating for town property and it was the intention to pass the remainder of their years in town to bid farewell to hard labor. It was, then, a great surprise and shock occasioned by her death. She was 50 years, 1 month and 18 days of age and leaves children. grandchildren and many friends who grieve at her untimely departure. She was born in Crawford county, April 14, 1852 and moved lo Henry county some 30 years ago where he has ever since lived a life of kind deeds and was highly esteemed by her neighbors. The Northwest with her many other friends in Napoleon extends sympathy to the sorrowing relatives.
