Obituary: At a special meeting of Liberty Center Lodge, No. 718, I. O. O. F., held at their Lodge room, July 13th, 1887, the following resolutions were adopted: Whereas, It has pleased the Supreme Architect of the Universe to visit "as a thief in the night" the home of Bro. Charles H. Knauss, and summon him from his labors here on earth; calling him by his Omnipotent will to that judgment which awaits all who are toiling in this earthly temple, and Whereas, The Brotherly ties which have so long bound us in mutual friendship to our brother are sundered no more to be reunited until the day when the grave shall yield up its dead, therefore Resolved, That we sincerely mourn his departure, bearing in tender remembrance his fidelity to Odd fellowship and his devotion to the principles it inculcates. Resolved, That we earnestly sympathize with the relatives and friends of our departed brother and tender them that consolation which the world can neither give nor take away.
