Obituary: UPPER SANDUSKY, May 9. Last night at about half-past 9 o'clock John Kirby, son of Gen. I. M. Kirby, committed suicide by hanging himself. The particulars are as follows: Shortly after his mother returned from church he remarked that as he had been in the house all evening he would go out and walk around a while and left going out the back door. In about fifteen minutes his father went out to look after him and was horrified at seeing him hanging to an apple tree in the backyard. He immediately cut him down and carried him to the house, but life was extinct. About five months ago he was overcome with nervous prostration; caused by study. He was but 19 years old, and graduated from the Public schools last year with, the highest honors. |
