Obituary: Kile -- In Crawford county, Ohio, on Monday, March 9, 1885, Mrs. Catharine Kile aged 63 years, 10 months and 22 days. She was born in Germany during the year 1821, her maiden name being Catharine Knipp. When ten vears of age she came to America with her parents who settled in Crawford county, p.in 1839. She was married to Tobias Kile and lived happily with him for many years. They were the parents of ten children, four boys and six girls; all these are living as follows: Eva married Jacob Helfrick and resides in Nebraska; T. K. of Fulton county, Ind.; Elizabeth, now Mrs. Peter Knipp of Henry county, O.; Peter, of Crawford county, O.; Catharine, now Mrs. S. Keiss, of Whetstone township; Sarah Ann, now Mrs. Joseph Dinkle, Jefferson township, Crawford Co.; Eli, Amanda and Ida, who reside on the old homestead. Mrs-- Kile waa raised in the German Lutheran Church and has aiways been a consistent member of that denomination. The funeral was held on Wednesday, March 11, services being conducted by Rev. J. C. Elrich, pastor of the German Lutheran congregation, of Bucyrus. She leaves a great many friends to mourn her loss. |
